Nutrition is an important part of sport performance for young athletes, in addition to allowing for optimal growth and development. Macronutrients, micronutrients and fluids in the proper amounts are essential to provide energy for growth and activity. To optimise performance, young athletes need to learn what, when and how to eat and drink before, during and after activity.

Nutrition and lunch will be provided.

The Coach

James  Hall has been a rugby professional for over 10 years having played top flight rugby for Bristol and Newcastle. James is a RFU level 3 Rugby Coach and A Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coach. James Has worked with many rugby players helping them become fitter, faster and stronger.

The day will incorporate gym, field and classroom work to give a comprehensive overlook into the strength and conditioning needs of a rugby player. Each Participant will receive full information, coaching and feedback on weightlifting, SAQ, energy systems development and nutrition. Alongside a programme to complete at home.
